Epic Color Definitions in JIRA Kanban

Hi. I'm aware you have the ability to change Epic colors and that creating an Epic seems to assign a color automatically. Is there logic around what color gets assigned to the Epic type/description or is it 100% random and/or administrators define what the color represents. Thanks.
