Epic Name in Jira Plan (Advanced Roadmap)

Plan views in Jira display the Epic Summary field. We find that field to be too lengthy for our purposes and would prefer to display the Epic Name instead. 

How might we display the Epic Name on our Plan View (Advanced Roadmaps)?

I advise you to not pursue this as it appears that the Epic Name field will be phased out in the future. Refer to

According to that post... "The existing Epic name field will remain available, but will be optional when creating a new epic."

If this is true, then we'd like to pursue a solution to displaying the Epic Name field. Our preference would be to display the short Epic Name field. When hovering over the Epic it would be great if the Summary field would appear.
