Hi
I created a project and added Epic to the issue type. However when I use epic, there is no Epic name field, and it is also not in the configure field either for me to add.
Can someone help?
Thanks
Sarah
That is how I added Epic name to the field so it shows up when I choose Epic issue from my project.
The "Epic Name" field might be missing from the screen configuration in your Jira project, or it might not be assigned to the issue type scheme that your project uses. To resolve this, navigate to Settings > Issues > Screen, find the screen used for Epics, and then add the "Epic Name" field to that screen. You can also verify that the Epic Name field is included in the Issue Type Screen Scheme associated with your Epic issue type.
Detailed Steps:
Hello @Sarah Wong
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
When you added Epic to the issue types, do you mean you created a new issue type and called it Epic? Or did you add the existing Epic issue type to an issue type scheme? Can you provide a screen image showing where you added Epic?
Can you provide a screen image of the page you are using when you are trying to add Epic Name to the screen used for that issue type, showing that Epic Name cannot be found in the list of available fields?

Thank you for that screen image. That is the screen for adding an Epic to an Issue Type Scheme.
Can you share an image of the screen where you expect to see the Epic Name field?
Can you share an image of the screen you are in when you are trying to add the Epic Name field to a screen?
