Epics not appearing in Roadmap tool

Tim Webb July 21, 2020

Hi, I have an issue within Scrum and displaying Epics on the Easy Agile Roadmap.

I have created a project with a board which is filtered by any and all Epics. The filter pulls in all epics, so far so good.

When I go to the backlog of the board, only NEXT GEN project Epics are shown in the backlog/stacked view, all CURRENT GEN project epics are shown in the epics panel.

Opening the roadmap tool, only the NEXT GEN epics are available to be dropped into the roadmap. I have made sure to tick off all EPICS under issues -> options.

I'm at a loss. Is anyone able to help?

Hi Tim,

I'm Elizabeth, one of the Product Managers here at Easy Agile. We've had a look into the issue you've described and it appears that you may have some unmapped statuses.

Unfortunately I don't think you can map classic project statuses on to your next-gen board. Instead you will need to map your next-gen statuses to your classic board then access the roadmap via the classic board.

To map the statuses go to your classic board > (...) > Board Settings > Columns > Then add any unmapped statuses to the correct columns.

Once this is done you should see epics from both boards on your roadmap if you access the app via the classic board. Just make sure the right issue types are selected within the options dropdown (as you described above).

Hope this helps solve your issue. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to us via support@easyagile.com.

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately I had it set up exactly as you said. I'm working on the classic board and I'm pulling the next gen issue in.

However, I since figured out that simply using a kanban board works. For the moment, that's good enough for me as I'm using this project/board only for the roadmap tool, not for actual project management.
