Epics wont show on JIRA Custom Charts

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I am working on a JIRA agile project and I installed the app "Custom Charts". I'm noticing a few things:
- The "resolved" vs "created" number of tickets in the last thirty days is different than what appears in the normal JIRA report
- We recently added the "Custom Charts" to JIRA and I've created a bar chart to count the number of tickets associated to each epic that has been created since the beginning of the year (project = "SF" AND createdDate >= "2024-01-01"). However, the epic names are not being grabbed by the app and they are not appearing. I'm using the "EPIC LINK" as the "Chart by"
Why are the epics not being grabbed by the app?
Is there a bug in the application? Has someone else encountered this before?
