I have two JIRA cloud instances (Instance1 for company C1, called I1) and (Instance2 for company C2, called I2) and would like to move only single project from I1 to I2. I have searched for this solution (e.g. https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/10398117) but they don't contain needed information.
I can not import ALL projects into I2, because of legal limitations (C2 can only access one single project P1 of C1). How can I export single project P1 to I2? As I understand I should export all data of I1 and then somehow only select P1 from the data during import. Does this mean that I manually manipulate zip file with backup? I can not import all the projects from I1 into I2 for legal reasons even if imediately after import I would delete all projects except P1.
I would like to ask if JIRA will in near future support single project export in a way as Confluence does? This functionality should be really straight forward: Export project, include avatars=Y/N, include attachments=Y/N, ... Confirm. Currently there is also not a single support document that I could find, which would explain in detail single project migration.
Is it possible to ask Atlassian support to migrate P1 from I1 to I2 as explained above?
Thank you for your reply,
Best regards,
JIRA already supports it, but it's not available on Cloud.
I don't think Atlassian support will do this, but there's no harm in asking - raise it at https://support.atlassian.com
