I am currently a Board Administrator as well as a JIRA Administrator. I need to change a filter on a board but receive an error message. This has been happening for over a week now. I need to get the filter updated because we are going to be starting a new project soon and we need all the stories/epics on one board. Below is the screen shot of the error message. I have been able to update other board filters, but not this one. Please let me know how soon this can be fixed so it doesn't impede the other project work.
Hello srainsba@ruan.com
Are you the owner of this board? Also where you the owner of previous boards?
Also, which version of Jira Software are you using?
BR, Olga
Good morning...
I am not the owner of the board (the owner has left the company). I am not the owner of the other board either, but it worked for me to change it. Also, we are on JIRA Cloud, so we are always current. Our JIRA license is JIRA 19a616b9. Please let me know how soon we can get this fixed, as the other project work will be starting shortly. I want to make sure the team has only one board to go to.
Thanks,
Susan

Hello,
I found lot of things could cause this error but have you tried copying this board and editing adding a new filter to it?

No I haven't tried that. Scares me a bit because I don't want to lose any of the data. Let me check to see if I can talk with someone here to help me. I will let you know about that, but what are our other options?

I just tried copying it and changing the filter, I got the same error message. It also copied the original owner of the board, despite the fact I got a pop up box indicating "as the owner of the board etc.". What is the next option to try?
Thanks,
Susan

What is the latest on this? I didn't see any new updates on this. Do you have anything else for me to try? The larger project I need filtered to this board is starting very soon and I don't want the team going to multiple boards.
