Error Message "Failed Operation" "Issue does not exist" Jira 7.1.21

Francisco Corvalan May 13, 2019

I get the error message when clicking on any issue

Failed Operation, Issue does not exist.

This is not impacting the issue, the issue well does exist!

I have re-indexed the system many times.

Working with Oracle DB 11g.

Please help, I will raise a Bug now

Hi Francisco,

Sorry to hear you are seeing this error.  Could you please clarify what version of Jira this is?  I don't recognize a 7.1.21 version, and I can't tell if you mean 7.1.2, or possibly 7.12.1.

However regardless of which version here, Jira 7 does not support the Oracle 11g version of that database.   There is support for Oracle as a database, however in Jira 7 versions and higher this has been restricted to the 12c version.  You can find this information in the documentation:

I would recommend that you follow the steps in Switching databases in order to migrate this Jira data into a supported platform for your version.

I hope this helps.

Andy
