After installing Jira 4.0 and trying to import the data from our Jira 3.10 I get this error:

Error importing data: org.apache.commons.lang.exception.NestableException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded

After getting the error, every part of the new install stops working. I have uninstall and reinstall to try importing the data again.

We are trying to upgrade all the way up to Jira 5.0, but our current install is 3.10. From what I read, I needed to upgrade to 4.0, then 4.5, then I could finally get to 5.0.

Turns out my problem was with my DB Driver not being correct. After installing the correct MySQL Driver everything loaded up with no problems.
