Error changing font color for multiple lines

Hello Atlassian.  I'm getting an interesting message when attempting to change the font color for 2 lines within an Issue's Acceptance Criteria field.  I highlight both lines, click the font color option and chose a new color.  The color is changed, however when I click Save, I'm returned the following message:  "We couldn't save your content.  It may contain formatting we don't recognize.  Try removing the formatting before saving."  Now, what did work for me was highlighting one line at a time, changing the font color and then saving.  I do not see any unique formatting that may interfere with the save.  Any ideas why changing the font for multiple lines would generate such a message?  Thanks in advance.
