Error in smart value: {{fieldChange.fromString.remove("{{fieldChange.toString}}")}}

Below smart value works (value can be obtained):

{{fieldChange.fromString}}

{{fieldChange.toString}}

{{fieldChange.fromString.remove("jira-automation")}}

{{fieldChange.toString.remove(" ")}}

{{fieldChange.fromString.remove(" ").remove("jira-automation")}}

Error shows in below smart value. Anything's wrong?

{{fieldChange.fromString.remove("{{fieldChange.toString}}")}}

The purpose of using remove() function is to remove sub-string from string A.
