Error warning when trying to External system import

The error warning message that I receive is

• Cannot add value [ [Above PAR] ] to CustomField DSS Project in Issue with summary 'If a GUI developer is detailed to another product'. Probably value was in incorrect format" 

I am only trying to add a text value to the custom field which is also a text field. I've tried everything I could think of changing font types, creating a new excel sheet and starting over. Nothing seems to work and all my other fields are going

through just fine not sure why this one won't work.
