Hello,
I am on the Free plan for Jira cloud with a Next-Gen project. Cannot add new users. :-(
I've tried different ways of adding users.
1) From "User Management"
2) From the "Add People" button on my board
Always get the same error:
Closed browser, cleared cache, restarted computer.
Any ideas on what's going wrong when adding users?
THANKS!!
Hello Daniel,
I'm sorry you're having trouble adding new users to your Jira site. Could you check your Product access settings for me?
You'll want to make sure that the product access for Jira is properly set up, which should include your Jira groups. You can see an example of how that should look in the article I linked.
If you aren't sure what should be there, or have any questions, you can share with us what you see (just make sure to censor out any private information).
Thank you,
Shannon

Hi Daniel,
How many active users do you have in each product?

Just me with the one Next-Gen project. It has not allowed me to add anyone else since I signed up months ago. Thanks for the reply, John.

Be sure to add yourself to the site-admin group. That is the permission needed to add more users. Are you in the group already?

Just checked and I am in the site-admin group already. Hmmm...

Is it possible that the problem is I am adding users from outside of the domain name of our company?
Meaning, I'm testing out adding people using a personal Gmail address, and another person is a team member who uses a personal Gmail address as well. Neither of which are the @OurCompany.com domain. ?

Have you verified your domain already?
Regardless, do you have another email with your company domain that you can try? Maybe even create a dummy one to test?
