Error when creating page using a template with Confiforms macros

Gilberto Cortes June 27, 2022 edited

I have a Confiforms configuration that allows users to fill out a form and on submit creates a Confluence page based on the input values. The Confluence page is created using a Confluence template. The template has Confiforms ListView and TableView macros.

This solution worked great until now. Now when a user hits submit on the form an error occurs:

Operation has failed. Error communicating with the server. Internal Server Error (error). Please check Confluence server logs for more details.

What I reviewed:

  • Nothing has changed on the Confiform configuration or the template according to Confluence change logs.
  • If I remove the Confiform macros from the template, the error does not occur.
  • When the macros are on the template, the error occurs but the new page is created from the template and looks and functions as expected.

Any ideas on what could be happening?

Hi

The actual error should be visible in the Confluence server logs.

Hard to tell more without seeing actual configuration, but again - server logs should help to identify the actual reason why the error occurs
