Error when loading board: Exception: Object doesn't support property or method 'append'

Only IE and Edge seem to be affected. The issue has not been encountered in Chrome or FF. Beside showing the error at the top, the page seems to load normally.

The error is only shown sporadically, but seems to be triggered only when the issue details are shown at the right side of the page. Any clues?

Anyone know the root cause for this. When I searched over internet found to be a Browser issue...is that true?

BTW, solution that was given is to try deleting the cookies and browser cache.
