Hi,
The system tells me there is an update available for the universal plugin manager, but it wants to update to an older version (see screenshot). Is this cause for concern? I ask because on upgrading from 7.3 to 8.1 we're experiencing various performance issues, and I'm wondering if this is related and part of a deeper problem.
Hi
Thanks for reporting this. Sorry for the inconvenience, there was an incorrect listing within the marketplace page for which version of the UPM was listed as being compatible with Jira 8.1.0 sites.
However at this time that has been corrected. So if you visit the UPM in Jira again today, it should be offering you a newer version and not an older version to update to (4.0.4 I believe).
Regards,
Andy

Mine offers me 4.0.4 now but it fails to install. I tried doing the manual upload of the app as well and installing it that way but it still fails. I'm on Jira 8.1 and going from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4

It sounds like you are seeing something slightly different than this original report. I would suggest that you create a support case if you are unable to update the UPM in Jira. You can do this yourself by going to https://support.atlassian.com/contact
Be sure to include your SEN when creating this and in turn this should help to make sure that you are routed to our Server support team. It might help to create and include a support zip when creating this request.
