Estimation history and sub tasks

Luis Carlos Albornoz April 26, 2018

I need that the estimation history to be the result of the sum of the sub tasks estimation. Is that possible? Actually I look separated estimation (parent and child)

Thanks

It does and it doesn't.

Jira Core does it.  If you put estimates of time on sub-tasks, using the original estimate and worklogs to indicate what has been done, then you will see that there is a tick box in the estimate panel on the parent that says "include sub tasks".  This toggles the panel between showing you the estimate on the parent, or the sum of all the estimates on parent and children.

However.  This only works for time estimates.  Jira Software, while allowing you to use other numbers for estimation (story points for example), it ignores estimates on sub-tasks completely

Thank you Nic, I saw and tried this option that you mentioned, but the problem is the total time just appears in that screen (Time Tracking) not into Agile view like Active Sprint or all Reports, where you can see only the times on parents not children. Anyway I'm going to use story points.
