Exalate add-on - how to change status

Hi,

I'm using Exalate plugin to sync between to different projects on the same Jira server instance.

I would like that whatever will be the status in the remote ticket (except closed), the status in the original ticket will stay "Approved". for example if the remote ticket will be reopened and the status will be new, the status in the original ticket will be changed from closed to approved.
