When I use below JIRA software to export issue to CSV.

Can't export chinese data correctly, showing messy code. Wondering how to deal with it.

Hi @Ting Rao ,

You need to transcode the file, please refer to the following steps

1. Open CSV with Notepad

2. Save as a new attachment, change UTF-8 to ANSI

3. Open the new attachment with Excel

Change “UTF-8” to “UTF-8 with BOM”.

Hi @Ting Rao ,

This is a known bug, as referenced in Jira ticket JRASERVER-64191.

Please refer to this KB article for a detailed workaround: Exported CSV does not display properly in Excel that contains non-English characters | Jira | Atlassian Documentation
