Hello! I just have a quick question that I can't seem to find an answer to. Can I export Jira search results to .json? I know that I can export to .xml, .csv, and .html, but it there a way to export straight to .json?
Edit: I should have mentioned that I only have Project admin rights to the few projects we have locally, so is there a way that doesn’t require JIRA Admin or global admin rights?
Thanks!
Steve
Yes, you can export. Please follow the steps in this doc.
Sorry, I edited my question. So I only have Project admin rights and can’t do anything that requires JIRA admin or global rights. I’m wondering if there is a way that doesn’t require adding plug-ins or JIRA admin rights in any way?

Unfortunately, there is no way. Jira admin has to enable this feature. So, users can export issue search results to json.
Btw, you can get the result (JSON) via REST api if it is appropriate for you.

Oh wow, that is a bit beyond my technical abilities...I just learned how to spell JQL over the past month, if that gives you any indication of my aptitude! :)
I appreciate the link though, I will pass it on to a colleague that is much smarted than I am, to see if he can use that to get what we need.
Thanks!

Ahh, so the best way is to ask Jira admin :) You are welcome!

Yeah, I just did that too, but if it's something that will change for the entire enterprise then they are hesitant to make any changes like that. I've been trying to find work-arounds for many things like this since I do not have those admin privilege's, but there are things that I have been trying to accomplish that typically require them.
