My organization utilizes both labels and components extensively. We export a lot of issues for reporting purposes. A number of our issues have multiple labels and components assigned to them. When export issues with multiple labels or components, the exported issue has multiple columns with the same name for labels and components. As a result, we have to go through a renaming exercise of n number of columns before we can do our reporting.
Additionally, not all issues have the same combination of labels and components assigned.
So before I go down a vba or power bi path post export, I wanted know is there a better way to export issues with multiple labels and components?
Thoughts & thanks in advance,
Hi @Eric Satterthwaite ,
You can take a look at Issue History for Jira app from my team. It proposes great capabilities for exporting multiple issues from Jira.
For example, you can use the Table View of the app, choose the filters related to the needed project and date range, add columns like Labels and Components, and generate the report quickly. It will look like that:
You can export this data in Excel or CSV formats:
Or you can use Activity View of the app and filter the issues by the fields Labels and Components. For example:
In case of the export, you will get such a report:
I hope this info will be useful to you!
Hello @Eric Satterthwaite ,
Good day, welcome to Atlassian Community!!
At the moment Natively this is not possible.
Refer: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-63747
Workaround:
2. Try exporting it as HTML: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/quot-Components-quot-Column-csv-Export-Issue-Multiple-Values/qaq-p/1016055
Hope, this helps
