Exporting JIRA Workflow WITH Transitions in a VISUAL FLOW

joel.murav July 30, 2020

I am trying to build a training guide with new workflows we have built. Instead of building a Process Flow Chart Manually i wanted to EXPORT the work from JIRA> but it seems that you cannot open it in a External Tool. If i take a Screen shot of the workflow, the transitions dont show up. Any suggestions?

Hi @joel.murav (and @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- :))

I think we got an app for you: Glass Project Documentation for Jira!

You can overview your project configruation (including workflows and transitions) even without admin acces, its made for education and general understanding project configs!

Good luck!

I'm not aware of any tools that can (usefully) read and interpret the finer details of a Jira workflow.  There are a couple of things (Smartdraw springs to mind because of a colleague's work on automating it) that can look at the current one, but, of course, their output is obsolete at the point they run.
