Hi
I am facing issues in adding already available additional issue types in JIRA in my project (I'm project admin).
Also, it says the project is using simplified workflow, I want to switch it back to the JIRA workflow where I can link it to multiple boards and define transition myself.
Can anyone suggest how I can do that?
I'm seeing a lot of new changes in the project setting now especially in Issue types and workflows, Why is that?
If you're using a classic software project, only Jira/system admins can add/remove issue types from the project's issue type scheme, so you will need to ask your jira/system admins to add these to the project.
Again, to change your workflow from a simplified workflow to a 'normal' jira workflow, you will need to ask a jira/system admin to make this change. Only users with these permissions can then edit the workflow from then on, so this will mean that editing the workflow is out of your hands as a project admin - so if you want to keep control over your workflow then you would need to keep it using the simplified workflow (where you can edit the workflow by adding/removing columns from the board).
As a project admin, if you need full control over the project - the issue types, the fields, the workflows etc - I might suggest you use a next-gen project, as project admins are able to control these customisations. These projects are slightly less configurable than classic projects, but it means that as a project admin, you have more control. See more on the difference between classic and next-gen projects here.
Hope this helps!

Hi @John Funk @Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_
I was able to work that out by having a session with my admin. Thanks for the clarity.
They made me the admin for the project and I created a new workflow schema that resolved the issue.
