Field configuration issue next gen

I have fields that i have selected in jira next gen project but i'm being shown fields that i haven't configured or selected, showing up when i create a new issue.

Hi Melissa,

The fields that you are seeing are system fields that are used on software projects by default and not custom fields, that's why it shows on the create issue screen.
