Field is not required but will not let me create

Davina Pasiewicz March 28, 2019

I am confused as to why I cannot create without filling out this "Clients" field. You can see that there is not red asterisk but it throws a "Field Clients is required" error when I try to create. I have not specified it as required in my config scheme and am not using a transition.

Hi @Davina Pasiewicz  if you dont want use the "Resolution"  as required field you can make

that as "Optional" from  Field Configuration Scheme

Goto Admin Settings > issues > Field Configurations > Choose the project related Assigned

Configuration > Search for Resolution > after Finding that  on the right side it will show the

Option "Optional"  > Click it

That's it now you can create the issue without filling the info "Resolution" but you cannot create a issue without "Summary, Project name, Issuetype"

This is in JiraServer i dont have an idea about Cloud Options but its same That I know

Hopes It Helps,

Thanks,

Kumar

Hello @kumar ,

I am not referring to the "Resolution" field. I am referring to the "Clients" field. And as I said it is not required in the field config scheme.
