Field required based on user groups in workflow transition

Hello there,

I want to do the field required on workflow transition based on some user groups. Please assist me how to solve this issue based on groups and we are using the jira server. Please help me on this.

Thanks for the reply, if I add condition to the transition only particular user groups only allowed this transition. But my concern is every one has to allow the transition but particular user groups only required to fill the custom field others can’t. And I hope u got my point please let me know if you need any information from my side and you help appreciated.

@siva so the required field is conditional based on the group you are in?  If that is the case you would need to use an app like scriptrunner or JSU to have more options in the workflow.  You could use more complex logic that is provided in these apps or you could just hide the button based on the group and have multiple transitions on your workflow.  One would enforce the requirement and the other would not.
