Hi@ @Sampath 👋

You shared a screenshot of the Time Between Statuses add-on, but some of the filtering tools for Data Center version are still in development. As an alternative, I recommend trying the Time in Status add-on, which was also developed by my team. Our support center can try to help you install it for the server version.

Here's how Time in Status for Data Center looks like:

Add-ons have 30-days trial version, free up to the 10 users and developed by my SaaSJet team.

I hope this helps 😊

Hi @Valeriia_Havrylenko_SaaSJet

Thanks for your response. Could you please suggest any JQL query or Filter . Thanks

@Sampath

In Jira, the Time in Status reports are not available as an out-of-the-box feature or JQL. Therefore, you can only achieve this by building your own code or using apps like Time in Status.

Hi @Sampath

Yes, it's possible to track time status for each agent and region using a third party app like our own Dashboard Hub Pro. Concretely, our app offers powerful and customizable reporting capabilities that can help you achieve your goals in a JIRA server environment:

  • Time in Status Reports: Track the time tickets spend in each status for each IT agent, allowing you to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Agent and Region Filters: Customize your reports to filter data by individual IT agents and regions, providing a detailed view of performance across different segments of your team.
  • Detailed Metrics: Track specific metrics such as the time a ticket is assigned to an IT agent (start time), the time spent working on the ticket, and the ticket resolution time (closing time).
  • Interactive Dashboards: Create interactive and visual dashboards that display your time in status data using various chart types, including gauges, to provide a clear and intuitive view of your key metrics.
  • Comprehensive Integrations: Combine your JIRA data with metrics and charts from 15+ product integrations for a holistic view of your IT operations.
  • External Sharing: Easily share your dashboards and reports externally with links, making it simple to communicate performance data with stakeholders.

With Dashboard Hub Pro, you can set up detailed and visual reports that meet your specific requirements for tracking time status for each agent and region.

I hope this helps you achieve the detailed tracking and reporting you need!

Best wishes,

Ivan

Hi @Sampath

There is no built-in solution for the reports you mentioned in Jira. If you prefer using a marketplace app, you can try Status Time Reports app developed by our team. It mainly provides reports and gadgets based on how much time passed in each status.

Here is the online demo link, you can see it in action and try without installing the app. For further details, you can have a look at Status Time Reports How to Videos.

App Features:

  • This app has a dynamic status grouping feature so that you can generate various valuable reports as time in status, time in assignee, status entry dates and status counts, cycle time and lead time, resolution time, average/sum reports by any field(e.g. average in progress time by project, average cycle time by issue creation month).
  • You can search issues by Project, Issue Type, Status, Assignee, Issue Creation/Resolution Date(and any other Date field) and JQL Query.
  • Status durations are calculated according to the working calendar you define. Once you enter your working calendar into the app, it takes your working schedule into account too. That is, "In Progress" time of an issue opened on Friday at 5 PM and closed on Monday at 9 AM, will be a few hours rather than 3 days.
  • You can set different duration formats.
  • You can export reports in CSV file format and open them in MS Excel.
  • You can also add this app as a gadget to your Jira dashboards and reach “Status Time” from Issue Detail page.
  • You can enable/disable access to Status Time reports&gadgets and Issue Detail page per project, users, groups or project role.

If you are looking for a completely free solution, you can try the limited version Status Time Reports Free.

If you have any questions, feel free to schedule a demo with us.

Hope it helps.

Hello @Sampath ,

Unfortunately, these features aren't available in Jira out of the box. JQL doesn't have this capability either. You can get the data from each issue's history, but you have to build your own code or use a third-party app.

Hello @Sampath ,

In order to measure everything that you stated above I can recommend Timepiece (formerly Time in Status) app, the oldest and leading Time in Status app in Atlassian Marketplace, which is built by my team at OBSS. It is available for both Jira Cloud, and Data Center.

Timepiece mainly allows you to see how much time each issue spent on each status and on each assignee

Timepiece offers two report types for your case:

The first one is Assignee Duration or Assignee Duration per Status reports  which shows how much time each assignee or in your case IT Agent spent on each issue or even in each Status. These reports show a list of issues by default so you can see the metric values for each issue separately. Please refer to the screenshots below.

Report Types Assignee Duration.png         Report Types Assignee Duration per Status.png

As an alternative approach, Timepiece also has Duration Between Statuses report type which shows the duration between two specific statuses. This report type also allows the user to exclude the times for "pause" statuses. You can combine the time for multiple statuses to get metrics like Time Starts, Spent Time, Closing Time.

For example, in the screenshots below, the Duration Between Status report shows the total monthly response and resolution times for each assignee in a project.

The app calculates its reports using already existing Jira issue histories so when you install the app, you don't need to add anything to your issue workflows and you can get reports on your past issues as well.

Timepiece reports can be accessed through its own reporting page, dashboard gadgets, and issue view screen tabs. All these options can provide both calculated data tables and charts. And the app has a REST API so you can get the reports from Jira UI or via REST. Also you can export the reports in to various formats easily.

Visit Timepiece (formerly Time in Status) to explore and enjoy a 30-day free trial to experience the full range of features.

If you wish, you can also schedule a live demo. We will provide a comprehensive overview of the application and address any inquiries you may have.

Hope it helps,

Gizem

Hello @Sampath ,

Timepiece (formerly Time in Status) app has the report types (Assignee Duration and Assignee Duration per Status reports) that I've talked about in my previous answer for Jira Data Center as well. Our app has the same features for both Data Center/Server and Cloud. You can start using it right away.

We have a free 30 day trial. You can get an evaluation license through our marketplace page. For more details about on prem installation please contact to our support center.
