Filter that pulls stories and linked tasks

I feel dumb asking this but I can't find it anywhere.

I am familiar setting up Plans.  I can't seem to get my Tasks to show up under my stories.

What JQL query would I use for this filter to use as a data source in a Plan.

"Epic Link" in (epic-xxxx) and..........

Thank you!

Hi @Cyril James - Advanced Roadmaps are designed for hard links that are established by the Issue Type Hierarchy settings located here:

https://YOURINSTANCE.atlassian.net/jira/settings/issues/issue-hierarchy

The issue type hierarchy has a rigid structure from Epic down so any logical parenting you may have established through issue linking is irrelevant to the Plan.  Therefore, Task will never show below Story in the hierarchy.  You would need to instead convert Tasks to Sub-Tasks if you want them to appear below the Story in the hierarchy.

Advanced Roadmaps require teams strategize how they conduct story decomposition to work most effectively in Jira.

Thank you.  Sorry, I am using Sub-tasks under my stories.

Oh good... The sub-tasks should automatically show so maybe it's something to do with your issue source.  Can you share what you're using for the plan's issue source and if it's a filter, can you please share the JQL?
