They worked out what was broken and removed the hack/broken add-on/script that was causing the problem, then re-indexed.

If you're having an issue, it would be worth asking properly - a new question, with the error message and a description of when it happens and what it does.

A detail-free posting on a 7 year old question probably is not going to get you a lot.

Thanks Nic, I completely understand your point. Will do the same if it doesn't get resolved soon. Thanks again.

That's a very common error which is usually a symptom of other things going wrong - you need to look through the logs in more detail to find the root cause of it.

Read the logs from when you did the re-indexing, are there errors in there? Check the log for around start up time to see if there are faults there. The errors do sound like you've got a serious problem with the installation, so I would go back over how you intalled it and check every step. What tests did you do before you imported any data?

Sounds like the index is broken. Can you try reindexing? If that doesn't fix it, then post the first couple of lines of the errors here for a bit more help tracking them down.
