Find if custom field is associated to workflow, permission and notification scheme

Hi,

I want to know if particular custom field has any association with workflow or permission or notification scheme of particular JIRA project.

Please suggest how it can be done.

If you have JIRA admin open up an issue in one of your projects 

You will note an Admin drop down under the issue summary, from this select "where is my field?" and select your custom field, it will tell you if it is used on the screens of the project workflow. 

From the same drop down you can access notification and permission helper.
