Hi All,

Doing some housekeeping on our Production instance of Jira Server v8.5.1 and discovered that one of our projects has two email servers and handlers set up to create the same issue type. I suspect one of them is no longer used but I don't know of a method to confirm that. I've reviewed the email account itself and it seems to validate my suspicions but I'm wondering how I might check it on the Jira side, if possible. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Michael J

Hi Michael,

Using Advanced search, you can use "request-channel-type = email" to find issues ingested via email. From there you will need to add additional search arguments to narrow it down. You can find which project that mail handler is for by editing it and cancelling out without saving changes. Cheers.

I think request channel will only work for Service Desk projects, and the one in question is a regular Jira project. Thank you all the same though.
