The post action to fire an event seems to be missing in the Jira cloud instance. See image below

Hi @Jonathan Waite and welcome to the Community!
Every transition in Jira has 5 post functions configured by default. The last one is the one that fires the event:
You can edit that line to throw a different event, but you can not add an additional event.
