First day resolution filter

kenneth reyes mata March 31, 2021

Hello there

I need to create a filter that help me to get the quantity of cases that were resolve in the same day that they were created (First day resolution)

I need this because I need to create a dashboard to show me how many cases has been resolved during the month and how many were close as Fist day resolution.

is that possible?

Hi @kenneth reyes mata , this is not possible by default. But there is a workaround for this (or more workarounds). Basic concept is to store the information if the "first day resolution" is True when resolving issue.

You can use postfunctions for this purpose.

Do you know if you're using Cloud or Server? Do you use any Apps (like Script Runner...)?

Hello Martin

Thanks a lot for your reply!

We are on Server now. We do not use applications like Script Runner :S

Hi @kenneth reyes mata ,

This is not possible out of the box with JQL. There are marketplace apps for the solution. You can try Status Time app developed by our team at Bloompeak. It provides reports on how much time passed in each status. Inside the report you can group statuses to get resolution duration. You can export the report and filter the ones with resolution duration less then 1 day.

Once you enter your working calendar into the app, it takes your working schedule into account too. That is, "In Progress" time of an issue opened on Friday at 5 PM and closed on Monday at 9 AM, will be a few hours rather than 3 days. It has various other reports like assignee time, status entry dates, average/sum reports(eg. average in progress time per project). And all these are available as gadgets on the dashboard too.

Here is the online demo link, you can see it in action and try.

If you are looking for a free solution, you can try the limited version Status Time Free. Hope it helps.
