For performance testing of JIRA , were the users pulled from a LDAP directory

Hi ,

For the JIRA performance testing ref: https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/jira-data-center-sample-performance-test-946041223.html

In the what we tested section of the link:

the user data was mentioned as 10,000 (10,000 users in total). Were these users pulled from groups in JIRA or from a active directory.

Would the performance be impacted if we use users from groups created in JIRA Vs users synched with a Active directory.
