Free Version - 10 users 10 GB - Duration validity?

Please refer this

https://www.atlassian.com/try/cloud/signup?bundle=jira-software&edition=free

https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/jira-software#jira-software-cloud

The second link is telling that, the "free"  plan has "Validity"  for the long-term. ( USD 000  FOREVER).

My friend has a tiny start-up in India and he wishes to try this product for 12 months minimum.

Please provide correct guidance for using the free option for the 12 months?

Do we need to provide the "credit card" or "debit card" details for the "Free version" ?

What are the terms and conditions, about the "company name, domain name, etc."?

Hello Dipak,

First a little correction, you get 2 GB of storage, not 10 GB

Yes Free plan has long term validity

You don't need to provide a credit card.

Domain verification & account capture is included in the Free plan

There are some limitations you need to keep in mind while testing the free version, for example

Limitations in Free

There are some limitations to the following features when you use Free plans for Jira Cloud products:

  • Permissions, roles, and issue-level security
  • Audit logs
  • Email notifications
  • Apps that extend Jira Cloud
  • Advanced roadmaps that can help you track multiple projects across different teams

If all of your Jira Cloud products are on the Free plan, those products will be deactivated after 120 days of inactivity.

Free version is free. This doesn’t say that Atlassian can’t stop providing a free version if they wanted to but I personally don’t see that happening. Ultimately I suspect many free user convert down the road so there is a value there. You don’t provide any payment info unless you convert to a paid plan.
