Gadget vs Dashboard Item on Jira Cloud

Hello there,

I've been reading a lot of different documentations and https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/guide-building-a-dashboard-item-for-a-jira-connect-add-on-33746254/ particularly suggest that Dashboard Item cannot be gadget. So we cant create a customized gadget for Jira Cloud??? I know we can create our own gadget for Server but I am lost when it comes to Cloud. 

I already try the example that was given from the Dashboard Item doc but it did not work for me. https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/modules/dashboard-item/

I'm afraid for Cloud, you can only create the dashboard items.

So you'll need to work out how to fix "does not work for me" when you follow the developer doc.
