Get Ldap attribute from script

Hi Team,

I am writing the script where i want to fetch one ldap attribute based on the another ldap attribute. For ex : based on the username i need to fetch one user profile attribute called department code. Currently i am following below document where it is mention that you can fetch the ldap attribute but in this i can't pass set of the username or viaraible of it and get all department code from them. Can anyone help me to understand how to pass variable or help me to get all department code value for all username.
