Get data in Jira Cloud Plugin from Jira and third-party server

Hello,

I built a Jira Cloud Plugin. The Plugin should show Data from Jira and my own third-party server. What is the best practice for that? Is there a way to use the Jira Ressource Authentication server in my third-party server so the user doesn't need to use different logins?
If not, are there any other alternative solutions that you can recommend?
Do you think forge or connect would be better for this situation?
