Hi Team,
I am using Jira & Git Hub (external server) & trying to integrate both by using App in Jira: GitHub for Jira & configured it.
I created access token at both application.
Referred URL:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manually-create-a-github-app/
When I follow the steps & go ahead I finally getting the below error.
didn't get access token from gitHub
Can some one tell what I am missing here & what to do.
@Anurag Patel Hi,
It could be that when you created the token you didn't select/permit the necessary organization.
Try to re-do-it from the beginning and pay attention on the GitHub side what is allowed.
PS: Make sure it is saved (refresh the screen after saving the PAT).
Cheers,
Leo
For the error, here are a few things to check:
If you want bidirectional sync between Jira and GitHub Issues with reliable sync, you may explore OpsHub (Atlassian Solutions Partner). You can connect to Jira and GitHub and simply configure what data needs to be synced without much technical knowledge. Plus, sync comment, attachment/inline image, rich text formatting along with robust error handing.
Hope this helps!

Most probably you either:
- didn't save the token on GitHub or Jira side
- didn't provide the right scope (didn't allow the org you need).
Cheers
