Hi everyone,
we are currently using Git Integration for Jira plugin (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/4984/git-integration-for-jira-azure-devops-github-gitlab?hosting=cloud&tab=overview) to connect our Jira cloud environment to Azure DevOps repository but i recently noticed an Atlassian App called Azure DevOps for Jira (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1232793/azure-devops-for-jira-official?hosting=cloud&tab=overview).
At the moment we just use the plugin to reference Jira issues to activities performed in Azure DevOps but we would like a more seamless integration where you can either:
- pilot Azure DevOps activities directlly from Jira (i.e. merge/push happens when a Jira transition is triggered)
- limit Azure DevOps activities based on Jira issue status (i.e. developer perform a merge request but this can go on only if the Jira issue is in a certain status).
Any idea about this? Did you try these two plugin and have any opinion about them? Which one is better?
Many thanks in advance!!
Matteo
Hi @Matteo Morato ,
Thanks for asking.
There is an official app and one from Move Work Forward. See the search here.
None of the applications support what you want.
I am from Move Work Forward and we are ready to work with you to enhance our app to support your needs.
Let's have a call where we can discuss your use cases and the current setup (schedule here).
Look forward to working with you.
Regards,
Leo
