Github revert post customised message as jira comment

Deepti Hasija October 23, 2023

Hi,

I want to post a customized message as JIRA comment for any revert happening via Git Hub. We already have automation in place to log revert details in JIRA ticket. How can I do that? Is it possible using github webhook and JIRA integration.

One more thing, for all reverts a PR is opened with title "Revert..." if this helps.

Hi @Deepti Hasija

My name is Christophe and I am a solution engineer Exalate.

With Exalate you can easily sync a PR into a Jira ticket. With the solution, you can manipulate the script (groovy) so you can customize messages to your liking.

Exalate is a decentralized integration tool so you don't have to worry about system changes, you decide which fields are synched over and how you populate them.

The GitHub/Jira integration works for GH issues and Pull Requests.

Please feel free to book a demo to see how Exalate fits your use case.

Thank you in advance & kind regards,

@Deepti Hasija hello. Perhaps it is possible, but i've never looked into it. If you decide to switch the approach and try some 3rd party solutions - feel free to look into ZigiOps here, in the Atlassian Marketplace. It a fully no-code integration solution that will allows you to connect and sync your Jira/GitHub instances in minutes. It's 100% secure - does not store any of your data- and it can be customized to fit various use cases. You can take a look at ZigiOps and even try it via our free trial.

Regards,

Diana
