Hello!
Is it possible to make everyone use the global assigned time zone and not the user's preference? We are having challenges as our team works across all time zones and when sharing info through screenshots, some time stamps that we need are following the user's time zone and not the one that the majority is using.
Any info is helpful! Thank you.
@Darcy M There is not a way to prevent a user from setting a time zone preference. A users time zone preferences will affect the display of the time zone data for them but still respect the time zone set globally. If they are taking a screenshot that would display the time zone of whatever they are seeing. The time in which it was attached should match the global.
Can you share a screenshot of the issue you are having?
Hello @Darcy M
No, that is not possible.
The user's personal preference timezone will be used to convert Jira Date/Time fields. In the backend the date/time information is recorded in UTC so that this conversion can easily be made.
