Google Chrome/MS Edge - downloaded attachments are not respecting file extension.

Hello Community!

Using Google Chrome, I have downloaded an Excel file (.xlsx) to my downloads folder.  When I click to open it, the file has a file type of File instead of being recognized as an Excel file.

Has anyone else experienced this?  If so, how did you resolve?

I have used Edge, Firefox and Chrome to perform tests.  This is what I see in Windows Explorer:

Files 1 and 3 are from Edge and Chrome respectively.  File 2 is from Firefox.  I notice the file name is not correct in any of the instances.  I'm just getting lucky in Firefox that it is appending a secondary extension that works for me.

I sorted this myself, it was a problem with migration techniques.  I need better glasses!
