Graphical view of linked issues (Epic->Story->SubTask)

Hans.meijer October 18, 2019

We are using a lot of linking, and I want to create an easy overview of how tickets are linked with eachother. Is this standard in Jira? Or which add-ons are recommended?

Hi Hans,

What about to use Link Hierarchy third party app? You'll find it really handy

Hello Hans,

Thank you for reaching out.

Using a JQL query of JIRA, you are able to return which is the parent and the sub-task of a standard-issue (Story, task, bug) by using the columns Epic Link and Sub-tasks in the List View of your issue navigator, as displayed in the screenshot below:

That being said, you can easily configure a filter to return all issues and properly use those columns to know which sub-tasks and Epics are linked to it.

Also, if you are also using the default links functionality, you can use the Linked Issues column to return that information.

Let me know if this information helps.
