Grid functionality

Hello Hive Mind!

I'm looking for the ability to add grid functionality, rows and columns custom field.  I've evaluated some apps on the Marketplace that work great, but none of them give a detailed change account when information is changed in the grid (important user requirement that I have).  The change is registered as the grid has changed, but does not tell me what changed.  

Any experience with grid tools that can give me the level of change history that I need?
