Hardware Upgrdae Recomendation

Recently e have upgraded our JIRA into Jira 8.2.4. after upgrade we can see some CPU spikes. sometime goes to 100% and drops back in peak hours. we have 300000+ tickets

Currently we have 16GB Ram and 4 Cores Processor. what is the recommendation for hardware upgrade ?

20GB RAM and 8 Core Processor ?

Atlassian has a Jira Sizing Guide where you should have a look. There you can see that not just the number of issues is of relevance, but also others, especially the number of users.

But if you overall fit their medium size profile, I would suggest 8 to 16 CPU cores and 16 to 32GB of RAM.
