Hardware sizing for Onpremise Install

Hi,

We are planning to implement a JIRA instance on premise (in house).

We are looking for data about hardware requirements. Details including the cores, RAM, OS (Linux or Windows). Additional details about security would be beneficial.

Any documentation for security measures? Am looking at options like https SSL install or any other possibility.
