I think I read that the feature allowing forms in Jira to have conditional field visibility based on previous user selections is already available — is that right?
Hi @Yuly Buenahora
You're absolutely right — conditional field visibility is a feature that many users want, but it's not available in native Jira forms yet.
However, if you're using Smart Forms for Jira, you can absolutely show or hide form fields based on previous answers.
💡 For example:
If a user selects “Request new hardware,” only then do follow-up questions like “Laptop or Desktop?” or “Preferred Brand” appear.
If they choose “Access Issue,” those fields stay hidden — and instead, they see access-specific questions.
This helps create dynamic, user-friendly forms and keeps the experience clean and relevant — especially useful for forms shared with internal or external users.
Hey @Yuly Buenahora
The conditional fields feature in forms has been available form some time.
It is done by adding sections to a form, and setting visibility when a drop down of your choice is selected previously.
It's a bit limited, as you can only choose a single field per section to trigger visibility but it does a good job.
Thanks
Aaron
