Every Jira issue is connected to a workflow through the 'workflow scheme' used in that project. Each issue can only move between statuses if there is a transition between them. For more info on workflows, see here.

It sounds like you are looking at issues where either there is no exit transition OR any transitions that exist are restricted by a condition that is unmet. Best bet would be to talk to your admin.

hello, my problem is that a ticket was ended unintentionally... and there is no transition to return to the previous state. The flow is active so I can't add a transition to go back either.

If there's no transition at all, then you would need to add one in order to fix the accidental closure.

If JIRA is not letting you add it:

1) Open your workflow and make a new copy.

2) Edit the copy with the transition you need and save it.

3) Open your workflow scheme and replace the old workflow with the new one.
