Boards have recently moved from being independent to being project centric: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/boards-in-the-new-jira-experience-937886048.html
I'm trying to understand how is this helpful?
Lets say I have project X, Y, Z being worked on in a department or program. Prior to the change, instead of going directly to the board, I could go to project X and see all the boards that included this project.
I would start with Project X board, then it was a simple dropdown to look at Program or Department XYZ. Now, if I want that same functionality, I have to recreate the same board in all three projects.
And for an added UX bonus, Quick Filters are now less quick. Instead of being in a row they now require another click to access.
Online forums and learning are now in one easy-to-use experience.
